Jono was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. He studied at the University of Cape Town, where he fell in love with investing. As a student, he lectured and tutored in the accounting department, an experience that cemented the belief that work becomes meaningful when it brings a positive impact on other people’s lives. He has three years of work experience, bringing with him financial expertise, a passion for research and an appreciation for the challenges faced by business operators. Jono works in research at Activant to identify the businesses that will shape the future.

Working with clients including private equity houses and start-up’s, I was lucky enough to be introduced to the investment industry from both the investor and operator’s perspective.
Responsibilities
Adding value for clients in whatever way possible. Work included performing investment research and preparing financial models and investment memorandums for buy-side clients, as well as assisting start-ups with preparing business plans and financial models.
