Energy and enthusiasm have defined Matt's career. He began as a complex commercial litigator at prominent New York City boutique law firms before moving in-house at a leading real estate owner, developer, and operator. He went on to hold roles at a fintech-focused venture capital fund and a mortgage fintech, rising into senior leadership at both, and most recently served as General Counsel of a leisure and hospitality company.

Over two decades in practice — more than half of them in-house — have taught Matt that the best lawyers and the best operators share one habit: they treat the cost of delay as seriously as the cost of being wrong. As General Counsel at Activant, Matt brings that conviction to the firm's investments, portfolio companies, and the partners on both sides of the table.
